China Scholarship Council 2024/25

The China Scholarship Council competition for 2024-25 is now open - full details can be found here.

Application process:

By Wednesday 7 February 2024

Applicants must apply for the PhD by no later than Wednesday 7 February and note on their application that they would like to be considered for the CSC (please note we have extended this deadline slightly from 31 January due to the delay in launching the competition)

Applicants must complete the College of Arts & Humanities CSC Application Form 2024-25 and send this to their proposed supervisor in advance of the deadline of 12noon on Thursday 22 February 2024, to allow their supervisor time to complete the Supervisor Statement for CSC Applicants

By 12noon on Thursday 22 February 2024

Supervisors must send the completed College of Arts and Humanities CSC Scholarship Application Form 2024-25 and the completed Supervisor Statement for CSC Applicants by 12noon on Thursday 22 February 2024 to: gradschool.arts@glasgow.ac.uk

Applicants must hold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer (not on the basis of meeting English Language requirements) by 12noon on Thursday 22 February 2024 in order to be considered by the College for nomination to the CSC

The Graduate School will collate all applications to be reviewed and ranked by a sub panel of the Graduate School Board

By Friday 1 March 2024
Graduate School will send a list of all candidates to be nominated to the CSC by the College of Arts and Humanities to the central University contact

10th-31st March 2024
Application window for nominated students to apply directly to the CSC on the CSC website: http://apply.csc.edu.cn/csc/main/person/login/index.jsf

End May/early June
CSC confirm successful nominees

Please note, students who already have a PhD are not eligible to apply for funding.
The College of Arts & Humanities is able to support these awards for new students only (not continuing PhD students)
