There are many sources of funding available; funding depends on amount required, audience targeted, researchers involved and subject area.

Internal Funding at the University of Glasgow

Knowledge Exchange Fund
Conditions: funding for promoting KE with research. Should demonstrate the expansion of research field. Nurture capacity and impact of KE.

External Funding

Research Councils
Conditions: Often built in at grant proposal stage. For example BBSRC look for around 1% of grant money to be spent on engagement. Consider including public engagement in your Pathways to Impact. 

AHRC Follow-on Funding for Impact and Engagement provides funds to support innovative and creative engagements with new audiences and communities (£30-100K, no deadline).

Examples: Wellcome Trust, Creative Arts Scotland
Conditions: Various levels of funding available. Activity dependent.

Professional Bodies
Examples: Institute Of Physics, Royal Society of Chemistry, Royal Society of Biology, The British Psychological Society, Royal Academy of Engineering
Conditions: Subject dependant. Various categories dependent on audience and amount requested.
